Rental Overview & FAQs
Our beautiful Clubhouse is an affordable event venue located in Ocean Beach, just three blocks from the Pacific Ocean. Our indoor space can comfortably accommodate 80 seated guests, with a maximum capacity of 110. We also feature a charming garden and a fully-equipped kitchen. Our versatile space has hosted a variety of events, including meetings, play rehearsals, parties, celebrations of life, showers, rehearsal dinners, weddings, and more. We look forward to helping you create a memorable event.

All our event rentals are handled through Peerspace. We do not have the ability to do single rental events for individuals or groups outside of Peerspace, and we have a contract with them that limits our ability to conduct business outside that platform.

This rental type is for the entire Clubhouse (interior and exterior) and entails most events, gatherings and celebrations.

This rental type is for meetings specifically and is primarily for seated indoor events. No alcohol, limited food/use of our kitchen. Includes access to our speakers, projector and projection screen.

If you are looking to use the space on a recurring basis, maybe for a fitness class or other recurring use, please first check our calendar. We have several groups using our space every week, so this is a good place to see if the Clubhouse is available during the time you were looking to use it. If you do see the Clubhouse is available, please email oceanbeachwomansclub@gmail.com to inquire about our Recurring Rental policies.
What does renting here look like?
As your event day approaches, please look out for an email from Peerspace containing all the necessary instructions for accessing and caring for our space. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox.

Please note that we do not have volunteers available to meet you at the Clubhouse, and for the same reasons, we cannot guarantee an immediate response to messages during your event. You will find a spiral-bound notebook in the kitchen with on-site use instructions to assist you.
Payment & Communication
Our legal contract with Peerspace mandates that all communications and payments occur exclusively through their platform. Please ensure that any questions or concerns are addressed at least 24 hours prior to the start of your booking.

Insurance
ALL renters need to provide proof of rental insurance. We recommend going through The Event Helper. Please email your proof of insurance to oceanbeachwomansclub@gmail.com.

Parking
There is no designated parking at our Clubhouse. Free street parking is available around the Clubhouse.
Rental Monitoring & Hours
We have multiple cameras onsite that record check-in and check-out times. If you require an extended stay beyond your original booking, we can accommodate this. Please note that events must commence before 9:00 PM and conclude no later than 12:00 AM (local time), including set-up and clean-up time.

Food
You are welcome to have a food truck, or a caterer, or otherwise use our kitchen. Please do not plan to cook anything over an open flame.

Alcohol
You may have alcohol during a Party Use rental. Alcohol is not permitted for other rental types.
Decorations
You are welcome to decorate the space for your event. However, please ensure it is returned to its original condition afterward. Please note that the use of candles, open flames, or glitter is strictly prohibited. Additionally, we do not provide table coverings.

Climate
We do not have air conditioning; however, ceiling fans are available.
Music, Sound and Noise
Live music is permitted; however, please be aware that the acoustics reflect the characteristics of an older building with hard floors and high ceilings. All loud music or noise must conclude by 10:00 PM.

You may connect to our speakers via Bluetooth, and to our projector and projection screen using a laptop with a USB-C or HDMI port. Please request the instructions for these connections well in advance.

Children
We welcome children under adult supervision.
Outdoor Space
Our outdoor space is a community garden. Please inform your guests to respect the plants growing there.

Tours
We would be pleased to provide you with a tour of the Clubhouse prior to your rental. Please contact us through Peerspace to arrange a tour in advance.
