Calling for Volunteers for Easter Sunrise Service at Cabrillo Monument
1800 Cabrillo Memorial Drive (Point Loma)
Two Dates Available to Volunteer For:
- Saturday March 30th at 5:30PM to 7PM Set-up chairs for Easter Sunday Services
- Sunday March 31st at 6:00AM on Easter morning to assist in wiping the seats that may have collected some morning moisture and then handout service pamphlets.
The gate to Cabrillo Monument will be open-it is free to enter as volunteer. If you happen to be stopped by guards – just mention that you are a volunteer(s) for the Easter Sunrise Set-up.
Other Information:
- There will be a nondenominational sunrise service at Cabrillo National Monument.
- The gate to Cabrillo Monument will be open.
- The service will be held in the parking lot near the visitor center.
- There will be congregational hymn singing as well as a soloist.
- Speakers will include the commanding officer and several chaplains from Naval Base Point Loma.
- There is no charge, but a freewill offering will be taken.
- Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
- Attendees will be asked to assist in folding up chairs.
- This is the 74th annual Easter Sunrise Service hosted by Point Loma Kiwanis.
